Tranferring HD .mp4 files to DVD

posted in DVD Burning

I have just bought a Toshiba Camelio Pro HD camcorder, bundled with the camcorder was a copy of Nero 8. I have taken a few test video clips in HD .mpg4 format and transferred them from the SD card to my PC and the clips replay fine using Nero Showtime software. Unfortunately when I try to tranfer the files into Nero 8 to burn them to DVD it refuses to accept the .mp4 files. Can anyone tell me how I can successfully transfer the video files to DVD, I do realise that they cannot give the full HD resolution when converted to DVD. Also the camera takes every video clip as a separate file, is it possible when burning them to DVD to get the DVD to playback continuously without stopping at the end of each clip? reply

I’m surprised the software bundled with your camera didn’t include something to import MP4 files. You could try Haali’s Media Splitter. reply
