how to burn DVD to HD and play it on laptop

posted in DVD Burning

Hey everybody,
I searched the forum for this but couldn’t exactly find the answer. How do I burn a DVD to my laptop’s hard drive and play it on my laptop? Also can I play that saved movie on the TV through the laptop? I have DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Decrypter.
Thanks in advance for any help. reply

How can download/copy my dvd to my Hp laptop? reply

hi, there are many video converter that can convert to another format, but i recommend you E.M. HD Video Converter. because i have been using it for a long time and it works really well for me.
it is a wonderful video converter that lets you not only convert your favorite videos to various HD (high definition) video formats like HD WMV Video, HD DivX Video, HD Xvid Video, HD H.264 Video, HD Quick Time Video, HD MPEG4 Video, HD FLV Video, HD TS Video, etc. but also create Blu-ray folder for PS3 and Blu-ray player. besides, E.M. HD Video Converter can easily burn all videos and AVCHD (mts, m2ts) to DVD, DivX DVD.

By HD, I think he meant to his Hard Drive....

Note to topic creator the Hard drive is known as an HDD (Hard Disc Drive) HD is for (High Definition).

That is called upscaling content, going from SD (Standard Definition) to HD (High Definition)

BUt, in your case, I’d get Slysoft’s AnyDVD to take out copy protection (And region coding if you wish)

As DVDShrink has problems with copy protection.

Now, once you have AnyDVD up and running, put your disc into your drive and load up DVDShrink.

Now, click Open Disc.

I suggest after it’s done scanning to fully analyze the disc. THen Backup, if you want files tell it file, if you want an .iso tell it so.

Warning: Stripping out Regional protection may cause problems with older DVD player (at least 1 decade (10 years) old)

Also, in preferences tell it what type of copy you want

DVD5 - little loss in quality
-DVD is 4.5Gb is size to burn

DVD9 - No quality loss
-DVD is 8.5Gb to burn

Now, to make the disc smaller, if you don’t care about the other options, you can remove portions of the disc like languages and scenes. They’ll show up in the menus, but won’t be playable.

Now if it’s BluRay or HD, then you’ll need to get Slysoft’s CloneDVD software to copy it. CLoneDVD can do the same as DVDShrink.

To edit them out of menus, you’ll have to edit the menus.
DVDRemake Pro can possibly accomplish this.

For some reason linking to slysoft’s site doesn’t work. reply
