I have a Myspace Music page and I own a CD and i cant load songs unless it is in MP3 format. I am not doing it for people to download but for my own personal use.

but My question is how in the heck do you put a certain song into an MP3 format? reply

If you download from My Space I guess your songs are already in MP3 format. To make a MP3 cd you need a burning software like Nero or Roxio or whatever or just a music software like Musicmatch or so. When you start the burning software choose audio cd MP3 and you’re in business. If your downloads are in a different format you may need a converter to MP3 like Advanced MP3 Converter or any other brand. reply

first of all if it it came with a cd then you put it in your computer then you have to go to limewire and get your own music after you get that add the music to windows media player then you make a title with your new playist then you add the playist to your mp3s progam ....if your mp3 did not come with a cd all you do is plug into windows media player progam go to sync and add music to the side for your mp3 ....remember even when it says its done you have to check on the bottem of your computer where it says start go to the right where the clock is and look for a arrow if there is click on it twice and press USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE nothing else then your going to have to press it again after that the same place you found the arrow it should say its safe to take it off ....then check it [might be long to actually turn on but be patient] if it still doesnt work either you have low data on your music player or your computer USB is not working well ..... reply

I don’t know if anyone said this already...but there is a simple way to get your songs in MP3 format, but you’ll need to re-rip all your songs if you had already put them on your computer.

Before you begin to rip the song, open Windows Media Player and go to the “Rip” tab.

If you have the most recent version of Windows Media Player, then you should see a small arrow(or upside-down triangle) under the word “Rip." Click the arrow.

You’ll see a few things, but what you’re looking for is the “Format” button.

Keep your mouse on the “format” button until another small window comes up. Now you can look at all the formats, and decide which one you want.

====OR====

Once you open Windows Media Player, Right click on the very very very top bar of the Player.

A drop down window should appear. Go down to “Tools” and hold your mouse over it until another drop down window appears.

Find “Options” and click it.

Click the tab “Rip Music” and go down to “Rip Settings."

Go down to “format” and pick which format you want.

You’re Welcome!!

P.S. I can’t think of what the little white drop down windows are called, so sorry if you don’t understand what I mean by “drop down” window. I also don’t use these forums, so there would be no point in commenting to me..I just decided to help. reply
