Check this thread: How to Make DVD Copy with DVD Decrypter on PC (Totally Free)
You can burn just about any video format using nero. You go to the (Photo and Video) tab then select (Make Your Own DVD Video).
Its easy to do but it takes a while to do because it has to convert the file to a format playable in dvd players. My problem is I cant seem to burn vlc files and have them be playable on a dvd player.
I know you have gone over and over agiain about vlc. But I have tried to copy my film through power 2 go burner, windows media burner and cd burner xp pro3 But none of them are showing a picture.
I have sound but no picture. It is an avi file. I just dont get it. Can you please help
I have The Dark Knight as Avi (illgal download) and the only way I could get it to play was via VLC player. I have tried using all the dvd creators on my computer to burn it to disk (yes they have avi as an option) however none of them work. Most just say “not recognisable file type” when it clearly states Avi as one of the allowed types.
I wrote this message because it seems most of the people stating their problems are gibbering retards who don’t know how to make a readable paragraph. Help would be appreciated.
I just noticed the last reply to this thread was in 2006. Damn.

DOWNLOAD DVD FLICK IT WORKS PERFECT FOR ALL FILE TYPES...EVEN VLC MEDIA FILES!!! =)
I followed this advice and it worked perfectly for me. It is freeware, it converts the file to DVD format and then you can either save it to your hard disk or it will burn it for you to a DVD. I found it dead easy to use, and you don’t need to download anything else.
i have used avs to change files from vlc to dvd to play on my dvd player and it works but for a few mins every few mins it puts some writin on the screen which can get anoying does any1 know where i could do this without the writin comin up please?
I have a problem with some Public Service Messages I downloaded from the Ad Council website. They show up as quicktime mpeg2 but will only play with VLC.
My problem is that I can play them with VLC...but the broadcast equipment I use accepts regular Quicktime Pro mpeg2 and doesn’t play the VLC version... how, if possible, can I convert them to regular QT Pro Mpeg2?
Steps i use whenever i burn dvd
1. identify format
2. use a converter.. i use vso (ConverXtoDVD) so easy to use. it will convert and burn it afterwards
3. now if you want to copy the dvd, you can use nero..
4.nice and easy..
hope this helps..Ü
I have a MacBook Pro and have a few video files (.avi) that will not play with audio on QuickTime or DivX. They won’t even open in iTunes. The only program I can use that plays both video and audio is VLC.
I want these video files to play on a DVD so I can use them in a DVD player. I would preferably do it free (wouldn’t we all)? I tried iDVD but with no luck.
Any suggestions? Please E-MAIL ME at firstname.lastname@example.org Any help is appreciated!
