In order to burn AVI files to DVD format (ISO File), you will need a converting tool to do this I use ConvertX to DVD, it works GREAT! That program will also burn that movie onto a DVD for you, so you don’t even need Nero 6 at all....Hope that helped!
i use avi converter to convert my avi to dvd formatt and then burn them with nero ...if you have a movie with 2 parts you dont need a program to put them together ,just convert both parts and then burn them both together with nero ..I use to be able to burn avi with nero but i dont know why it won.t work anymore ..i hope this helps .
you cant burn avi, your best bet would be to download the freeware version of any video converter and convert the avi format to a mpeg2 format for dvd player use. not all dvd players can play it. but if it is a modern dvd player it should
I have been messing w/ nero trying video cds, Svcds, and minidvd, because i knew you could watch standard cd’s on a dvd player. the data cd took care of that for me. thank you for helping me figure that out. follow those instructions exactly, and you can put dvd movies that are in avi/xvid/divx for right onto a cd-r which you can watch on most dvd players. No conversion needed!! Great advice thank you.
alrite this is all you have to do to burn avi. dvd movies! all you have to do is download and install winavi. after thats done click convert avi. files to DVD and then convert the dvd u want. After this open up nero6 and click make dvd with files copy all files paste...BURN! simple enuff?? u can try nero7 but im not sure if it works because i have not tryed it yet!!
need a simple answer...
I have multiple Movies which are in different formats *.avi or *.wmv or mpeg.
I want to burn 2-3 or 4 such movies into a single DVD (4.7GB)with menus, so that I can play them in my laptop as a DVD and also use them in my DVD player to watch onscreen via projector.I would also like to know how to create those menus so that when i play it in my DVD player i can select which movie to choose from when projected onscreen.
Is the whole operation possible using Nero 7?
If yes, please let me know the steps as
Step1: do this this this
Step 2: do this and this
step 3: then do this..
If the above is not possible using Nero 7 , then could anyone please let me know which software
(freeware/shareware/purchased) can help me do this?
( i have gone through the entire communication till now and was quite confused being not so technocrat like you all.So parden me if its a repeat question, however would expect a to-the-point solution to my message.)
Really appreciate your time and help.
AVI FILE 2 DVD PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!
k then, 2 make dvd’s out of avi files just go to torrentbox.com, search 4 the program ConvertXtoDVD, download it, it comes w the program key, so it’s free!!! the only downside is that it takes 4ever, bout 1 1/2 to get a movie done, converted n burned, but once finish, play it on any dvd player, ps2, xbox, portable dvd, etc, just add the avi file, click on the convert button, insert the blank dvd n let it do it’s magic, works n is free!!! it converts the file n burns the movie on it’s own the only thing u gotta do is be pations n that’s it, hope is helpfull!!!!!!!!!
well if your going to use Vdub then atleast know that you gotto save it as an uncompressed file and then use the tmpg thingy or whatso ever so you wont lose any quality.... but still i have yet to find out how to burn this stuff after i find out how to use subs prefectly so... thanks in advance for all these teachings
let me also say that winavi is a realy bad program wich i would never recommand anyone to use, it loses a huge amount of quality while converting and it’s not advanced in any way, its just something those ppl made for a bunch of 12-15 year olds who want to use these small fuetures....
I used VSO DivXtoDVD to convert my AVI file, it converted it into 6 other files. But when I burn those files into a DVD, it doesn’t play in a DVD player. It saids theres no playback in the DVD. Any help?
I agree with FrancisUncleCharlieKatie, know your software a little bit before you ask for help. I too use DivX to DVD. This is such an easy software to use, and very user friendly. Once all of your video files (avi’s) are converted, simply use Nero to burn them to DVD. Its that simple. Try and explore your software, and teach yourself, its really not that complicated. Bravo to those of you who actually read these threads to help people. :)
I have been using DVD FLICK. I found in after a google search, its free software and so simple to use a monkey could use it!
I was having all the same problems everyone else was having until I got DVD FLICK.
It converts your AVI files into MPEG files, burns it and it plays on all my dvd players!
