I just bought this computer and I have windows vista. I downloaded some old family videos and it comes up with that it cannot be run because of a missing codec. i went to the microsoft help and it came up with this. Intel IMA ADPCM (11) codec. I’m not computer savy but i’ve been looking up the audio codecs and i don’t seem to understand. I would really appreciate it if someone can help out.
I just got the same thing, dunno why. Vista=Lame in this occasions I suppose, because I have Vista as well.
aspire5570AWXMi acer laptop with windows home premium and how come there is’nt 1 already there
Hi
I’ve kind of solved the problem - you can get a player here at http://www.freewaregenius.com/2007/02/09/cccp-codec-pack/ that will play. Windows aren’t supporting that codec yet apparently.
I had same problem and sorted it by renaming all files with .mp4 extension wmp then plays it a treat with no codecs required
WHERE CAN I FIND AN AUDIO CODEC:INTEL IMA ADPCM (11)?
thanks for the tips, people

Play it with nero showtime 3

I have the same problem - can anyone help?
Here’s a quick fix.
Drag and drop your asf files into Moviemaker, then you can play them.

None of these worked for me.
I did download AVS Video Converter which does convert ASF to AVI.
No MPEG4 V1 codec has worked so far though.
