hey guys,

i just downloaded a file that has an avi extension and part of the file name says xvid-vfua. the file displays fine but there’s no sound. ive been all over the internet looking for audio codecs and what i need and what i already have installed on my computer.
i also installed GSpot - the software that detects a video file and tells you what codecs it needs to view the file. but even that software says that i have all the codecs (bboth audio and video) to view the file.
what else could be the problem - anyone have any ideas???????
it took me a while to download this file and i really dont want to download another copy! reply

It needs an AC3 decoder. The most popular right now is the AC3Filter, found here:

Direct download:
