I have a xvid avi file that will not play. Windows media gives me the error message

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

gspot told me that i needed an xvid codec to play it - but that I apparently already had 2 such codecs installed. However, when I tried to the render the file it failed, giving me the error 0x80040111. So I went away and downloaded the most recent xvid codecs I could find (for the record I have Xvid Mpeg-4, DivX decoder filter and Xvid Mpeg-4 video decoder), but still no joy.

Oh and one other thing when I tried to play it through my DivX player, it plays for like 2mins then stops and tells me my video has been paused and DivX is downloading more data.

Any thoughts. Is the file just corrupt or something, or am I still missing the right codec?

Thanks!!
