Windows Media Player no sound or picture, although it says its playing

When i download a movie, for some reason it won’t play, no sound or picture, although the player says its playing. IS it the file or do i need another codec and i already have the Divx stuff. Someone PLease Help me out.

Hi,

Recently I have subscribed for online TV, which we can watch in internet explorer. But when I login, my window media player is seen blanck. Looks like nothing is happening.

If anyone has solution please let me know..

Use GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) to identify what codec is required.

If it says DivX or XviD is needed, then uninstall all codec packs and DivX and XviD codecs.

Now install 3ivX (www.3ivx.com).

i dont have pict or sound on my windows player i have windows xp
