Windows Media Player 10 Codecs

When I try to play some videos Windows Media Player 10 tells me Codec not available.Where can i get it???? Can someone please tell me!!! Or sometimes it says error downloading codec.

i also tried to watch a video and is said the same thing about the codec not available but i have windows media player 11 any suggestions

I got the DivX Codecs packa nd the video worked fine, But the sound didnt come out! Can anyone help me, i think i dont have the right audio codecs installed now!

i have real player but it cant plat 3gp format please tell me if there is any codec avilable to make my real player run 3gp formated files... please tell me.....

just use VLC media player

i also use the VLC media player, it works a treat.

i had problems with WMP codecs where it would just play sound but no video, but VLC works fine.

it wil be very nice if u could let me download the mediaplayer 10 codecs

what the hell i use lime wire to download music but i cant download anything else except mp3 format windows media player 10 wont play wma avi and other files what do i do?
when i do try to download a avi file or wma file and then open it windows media says cant play then begines to download this thing called play.exe. then its this game you play with numbers what gives? when i open the file the player starts but a pop up apears asking me to download play.exe then says somthing about media rights

I dont know bout u but when i got that play.exe it was a virus. I downloaded a DOW2 movie and it said i needed play.exe to watch it so i downloaded it and it turned out to be a trojan and i had to wipe my drive and reimage it.

I suggest you delete play.exe and delete its root from your drive (just clear out your cookies) and go to the microsoft site and download windows media player 11 straight away; or if anyone else has any other suggestions for other players.

I am having the same problem and am downloading Windows Media Player 11. The codecs are different for each media player version.
