WinAVI to convert RMVB -> MPEG -> VCD, MPEG quality not satisfactory

I have been using both WinAVI 6.0 and WinAVI6.2 to convert RMVB files into MPEG before burn em into VCD

However there is a significant degrade of video quality during the process

I wonder if anyone have a better way to enhance or maintain the quality of RMVB movies during conversion into VCD ?

like to use EO-Video to convert. better quality but slow (very slow).
other program called mainconcept, speed fast (super fast with 3.0GHz or above CPU), qulality acceptable

how about a software which converts wmv to mpeg for Mac 10.3? preferably free :-)

i hv download tvb series in rmvb and try to burn in dvd,i can’t burn it because it always said must codec,renderfile (wfile).i don’t known how to. please help!

when u open “eo video” software click on the realplayer column an add rmvb next to the rm extension eg: rm is already in the list so u add rmvb so it shuld look lyk this rm,rmvb
and u shuld be able to player the file if ure still having problems then install the latest realplayer for free
