So I do not play video files on my computer very often so I do not know when this problem started. Anyways I ran into the problem recently that I would play any video file (avi, mpg, mp4, m4v and even mkv) and the video will not show but the audio will. I get this problem when using GOM, but when i try to play it on Windows Media player it flips out and freezes my computer.

Thinking that something happened to my divx codec I reinstalled divx along with the divx player but no help. Here’s the weird part. I played a file on the divx player and ha! i have video! i paused the video and opened another video on GOM and ha! i have video. Here’s the weird part. I close the divx player and open i video on GOM and no video again >.<

Logic might tell you “well why don’t u just use the divx player for now on?" no, i don’t want to be limited. I want to be able to use any video player i chose from. If anyone has any insight I would greatly be appreciative.
