I can’t play my small video clips from my Canon Ixus V camera i Windows Media Player.
The camera software calls them .MVI, og I can play them in Quick Time, but not in Media Player - it cannot find the requested codec.
Friends and relatives have difficulties in playing these files, but when I first installed the camerea, I didn’t have this problem.
Hov do I get Media Player to recognize these files again?
By the way: Gspot gives me this “rendering” message:
DirectShow partially succeeded to play file. The actual text of the error or warning is:
0x00040257: VFW_S_VIDEO_NOT_RENDERED - Cannot play back the video stream: no suitable decompressor could be found.
I can hear the audio, but not see the video in Windows MP.
How do I cure this?
It’s motion-jpeg. DirectX 8 and later has it. Download it from microsoft.
