the bit torrent movies i burnt won't play on other dvd players why? how can i fix?

i’ve recently down loaded and burnt a few movies but can’t seem to get them to play on any other dvd player besides the laptop i downloaded them from...why is that and how can i fix them?? Can someone please help me fix this issue??

DVD movie is encoded by MPEG2 standard. And your video will be converted into .IFO, .VOB,.BUP files.

i was download a movie as bittorrent and there is a file showing with extension .wmv it should be play in windows media player right ? but it won’t work in it. i tried in VLC, DivX, but it shows the movie i played it is not playable ?
