Samsung SMP4 Codec

Donde puedo descargar el codec SMP4, lo necesito, please

I bought the memory stick pro duo because I was told that is ok for the cam. It’s working fine to take still pictures but I can not record movies. The cam is frozen when I try to do it. I don’t know if it’s the cam or the memory. seems to be the cam. I check in Sony and I understand that the size ( I’m using the PRO DUO ) is not a problem. I talked with Samsung and I was told that the PRO DUO is not compatible. Is anybody using this PRO DUO to record movies ?

I’ve tried everything you guys have suggested . When I go to my control panel it shows the camcorder with a yellow exclamatiom point over it. I’ve d-loaded everything posted here but to no pre-vail. I’m you can help me out , email me

I have the same problem as the lady aboved posted “I have the SCD353, and I recently took vacation videos on the tapes, how do I get those onto my computer so that I can burn them onto DVDs? I can watch them on my computer but that seems to be it.

I had Samsung SCD353 in 2005. I’m trying to get the software onto the computer so I can import my videos into Movie Maker, but I lost the software disc, and he downloads from the Samsung site are very confusing and they don’t automatically install. Can anyone help?

Well I bought my sc-d353 used off of ebay and when i try to capture my footage to movie make it gives me a message saying that there is no device detected.

i have a SC D353, but iv lost the cd’s for it
i want to be able to use the web cam streain device as my webcam
does anyone know wer i can download the drivers so i can use this as my webcam

I have been trying like crazy to get files shot on a Samsung DSC353 on the memory stick to show on my Mac. The SMP4 format wasn’t reading. Finally found the trick-download the DivX codec which can through the Quicktime site. Then go here: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10603 and download the changer. I changed FourCC to XVID and was able to see my movies. Good luck!

Same Here, I have a 4 gig memory stick pro duo and I can take pix with it fine but can’t record movies..it says “Memory card is Full!!" even with 3.5 gigs of free memory...I tried it with the memory stick pro(the tall one w/o the adapter) and it works fine.

does anyone know where i can get an installation software cd for my camcorder its an SC-D353 Mini DV i lost the software it originally came with..?

I haven’t had a problem with the memory stick... I just stick it into my computer and take the .avi files off it.

Ok.. SO HERE IS HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM IF YOU ATTEMPT TO VIEW A VIDEO THAT YOU RECORDED USING THE SC-D353 MODEL SAMSUNG DIGITAL-CAM... in my case, it caught the sound but not the video data.

go to the samsung website. find and select the download center. enter the info for your camera. it will direct you to the appropriate place. then, on the bottom of the page, you will see downloads.. and three sections. one is manual, the other is driver, and the other is software. If your video only plays sound or you right-click on the file and view: properties and it only says that it has an audio codec and not video, this will help..

select driver. in this section you will select MPEG4 movie decoder of mini-dv (ver1.0). select the “zip” button for it on the page. once you download it, on the lefthand side of the window it will say 'unzip all files'... select that. once it continues and unzips all the files you will see several, one saying 'install.' select it and even if it prompts you asking if you should, do it. retry your video. It INSTANTLY did the trick for me. Hope this helps!
