Could someone tell me how to get an avi file to have the highest video quality onced converted and played back through my stand-alone dvd player? All of the files I’ve converted thus far appear a bit pixelated, however, they appear crystal clear when viewed on my computer monitor....I want to maintain that same visual quality once I’ve burned them to a cdr. I’m converting a number of small (mb) file sized .avis to svcd to put onto a cdr.

Is there something in the 'advanced' setup that I am missing?........

Thanks smiley

P.S. I’ve also noticed a fading in and out of the audio on some files I have converted, how can I prevent this from happening any further?

i have done all the suggestions posted and it does not come up with the message about the real media codec but does come up with a message saying i should install a divx/xivd codec to avi file. Then when i try to encode a .mov file to an avi it says fail in initialising the file. Does nebody know what i can do to make this program work?
