Hi peeps, having some difficulty playing with some videos on my pc. I have DivX, Winamp and VLC but sadly due to a problem with the file none will play.

The message comes up with something like the seeker does not work due to broken or corrupt file and that the seeker may not work properly.

VLC offers to fix it but only some of it is fixed, say if the programme is 45 mins long it only fixes about 29 mins of it.

Not sure what I can do, have already downloaded DivFix++ but this comes up with a message saying the following;

Info: Exception captured. input->Eof() not working

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help

I don’t really like the fixers in VLC nor DivXFix. They rewrite the headers, but it doesn’t necessarily restore the file’s integrity.
I’d use VirtualDub instead. Video, direct stream copy, then file, save as.

You can burn the avi file to iso format to play on VLC
