Powerpoint 2000 premium

>I have been working a on a Powerpoint presentation for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and am having some difficulty with music and presenting a saved presentation.

1. I have added music to segments and wonder if there is a way to make a song fade at the end of the segment. It just ends so abruptly. Also, some songs will not play in Power point. I am very confused about this.

2. I saved the presentation to have a back up and went to view it on my TV using my DVD player. Is this not possible?
