New divx user receiving codec error

i have an offer for all. dont download files whit AVI formats from torrent beacause nearly many of them is fake.

I hate this fraud people because they are doing ..... like this bad activity. the file you try to play is only little movie clip hand made not a real movie, so dont try to play just delete it.

Hello everyone! I have a problem with a movie download. Everytime I try to play the movie I get this Error Messege: CODEC ERROR USE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER ABORTING VIDEO REDIRECTING TO MICROSOFT CODEC DOWNLOAD PAGE. But when I go to download what I need it still does not play

the avi file that u downloaded, is a fake it won’t work guys so delete it and find it somewhere else .

could’nt find anywher on web...was trying step up 3d movie and downloaded malware and adware bt luckily was able 2 remove them...!!!

I had the same error message and started to google to try and fix, I fell into your site and I have saved myself hours of frustration trying to find a codec I didn’t even need. As soon as I read all the other messages on this thread I re-scanned the file and aye tis a virus.

Have now deleted and wanted to say thanks.

I have the same problem as everyone else here. But after I read some of your comments I am confused. So nothing is wrong with my KMPlayer? I don’t need to download some codec? Because lately every movie I downloaded is like this :\ And they are all 700MB .. it is a long wait for a miserable result at the end. it’s a virus, so update your antivirus, then rename the video file estensions from avi to exe, your antivirus will automatically detect the virus in the video file, so click repair or clean button... then rename the file to avi
