I HAVE JUST Purchased a panasonic SDR S26 CAMCORDER and would like to transfer the film files to my mac computer, when i try to do this via the USB to camera cable they appear as .MOD and .MOI files which are not usable on my mac, does anyone have a solution.

I am afraid that both of these format files are not useful to any other system. they are only useful in your camera!

As scofield119 said, those both format are for camera. If you wanna your video to compatible with your Mac OS, you need convert MOD to MP4 or MOV with a Mac Video Converter.

Hope it helps.
