missing codec?

Hi,
I’m using premiere elements v1.0 to burn my dvd project i’ve created - to disc or folder non work. i get 'encoding media transcoding error' - and the burning process freeze.
Am i missing a codec? which one do i download to solve this problem.
i’m new to the codec, can anyone please help me.
