Microsoft Video 1 and VLC

Is there a way to get VLC (VideoLAN player) to play an MV1 avi file (CRAM/MSVC)?

The thing is, I can run the file with the Media Player, the codec is correctly installed and working, it’s just that I can’t get VLC to recognize this.

I did some testing the other day and I had the same problem. What are your specs? I have Windows 2000 SP4, Athlon XP 3000+ (400 MHz), 512 MB PC3200 , ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 9800 pro 128 MB.
