when ever i try to play a film on windows media player it comes up with WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER HAS ENCOUNTERED AN UNKNOWN ERROR please please can anyone help me xxxxxxdanxxxxxxxx

Windows Media Player has never been particularly helpful at diagnosing playback problems. I would recommend using another program such as gspot, avicodec, or videotoolbox.
