Try an older version of the codec. There’s many copies of it lying around on the internet. I posted a slew of links and ways to find the codec in thread 1684

I have same problem. I am actually downloading the file. If it WILL work (on my windows XP), I will - same as almost everyone in here - throw away my religion and worship you SOS for saving my... 15 bucks.
Yeah thank you sos i had a problem with a game it said i needed a Codec from Indeo and ifter i downloaded your file it worked thank you very much
Wow... it actually works! Even with SP2 installed, I was able to use the codec you provided to get my Logitech QuickCam Express camera to record properly with the latest software provided by Logitech. I can’t believe Logitech doesn’t have a single mention of this OBVIOUS problem on their website.
You’re the best! Thanks alot!

This is a patch from Logitech that will take care of this issue for you. It should not be needed if you have XP SP!, but I have found that most tablet PCs need it for some reason
I’m having some problems with my Logitec ClickSmart 510 cam. The pictures that it takes arent clear, foggy I must say. Is there anything, a codec that can correct this problem?
THANK YOU for this link: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/download.asp?url=/2846/eng/codinstl.exe&ProductID=355
Downloaded and installed and now videos that require that codec are working again.

you really helped me a lot, man... so here’s one big THANK YOU not just from me, but from all of us. This was fast, safe and correct, so once again thank you very much.
Cheers
Thank you much for the working link. It got me back on track with my Links 2001 (yeah, I know...but 2003 is on the way) with the start of golf season. Without having to shell out the extra $$ for something that should’ve been free.
Gracias por el link, está chido ya jaló el video.
Thankyou Sos!
I found this discussion on Google and I’m very pleased I did!
Now I can play Risk II again!
surgeproof
Im having trouble running some of my games. There was an error that said I need an indeo codec so I tried your link (SoS) but when I installed the codec there was an error. It says : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT . The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close’to terminate the application.
If there is anybody that can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank You
Apologies for the *very* late response...
'muadibe' do you know what display adapter you are using? I know of only one 'queer' BIOS that played up with the Indeo codec... E-mail me @ peter.cumberland@ntlworld.com and lets get some more info about that problem...
'orthopod' - again sorry for the late reply. If you are still having a problem feel free to e-mail at the above..
Cheers
SOS
Thanks for the link! It worked great for me on XP Professional.
what wrong with indo corperation anyway.....are they in fight with microsoft or something?
thx sos
It just worked out
I 'm trying to get Rowan’s Battle of Britain running on Windows XP. Downloaded SOS’s patch, but now when I click on the game icon to play, the computer restarts! Help!
Grateful for any ideas
Tnanks for the link, if the codec isn’t included in XP and the game doesn’t come with the codec, then surely they can’t claim it to work with XP?
