I purchased a CCTV Digital Video Recorder (surveillance equipment) from China on Ebay and it compresses the video file into a .lvf. There is no information on this DVR at all on the net, and I can not get any help from the seller or manufacture. I need to get this file converted to a more common video file or install the correct codecs so WMM or Magix Movie Edit Pro will recognize the file. I am using Windows 7. Please Help! THANKS!!! ;) reply

I think I have the same DVR. I tried an Elecard player, that only sort-of worked. reply

It’s an H.264 DVR with no model number.

I have searched and search, and the only thing I find is others looking for an answer! I can email the .lvf file to you if you would like! reply

Download compile codec (HD Filters) from:

http://www.mediafire.com/?xzoew5j3imi

And to associate the .ivf extension to WMP for Vista or W7.

Try it, you will not regret. reply

I used the EAVC HD Player and it played my .lvf files with no problem. I have also converted the videos with Sothink Video Converter and it sped up the videos(the playing speed). Now I must figure out a way to slow down the video. I do believe you can also slow down video using the EAVC HD Player. I tried using Windows Movie Maker and all other types of programs on Windows 7 but have had no success. Just thought I’d give my .02 on this. I’m trying to use security videos from a security DVR unit in court. The files do come out as a .lvf file but they are NOT Logitech Video Files or whatever. I am very experienced in Windows and Linux and I think the .lvf may stand for Linux Video File(I’m not sure yet). The security system I was using was based on a Linux OS so that’s what I’m thinking. Hope this may help out somebody in the future!! reply

Did some more digging today and have come to also find that .lvf stands for Lossless Video File or Format. It’s a type of video. reply

I have some great news for everybody that needs to convert their .lvf DVR files to .avi for use on computers. I did some more extensive digging today and came to find this website: http://www.cctvcommunity.co.uk/questions/65/Gemini+-+Software%2C+manual I have also included the download site for the .lvf2avi converter : www.cctvcommunity.co.uk/DlDocs/Gemini/Lvf2Avi.exe This lvf2avi converter was EXACTLY what I was looking for and needed. I am running it on Windows 7 Home Premium and it successfully converted the security .lvf files off of my H.264 CCTV DVR unit to .avi files to use with DivX Player. Once they are converted to .avi,I can convert them to whatever other type of video file I need and burn them to DVD for use in court or use at home! I hope this helps everybody and hope that everybody finds this in good time and good spirits. I know I was getting very frustrated with trying to find the right converter and was about to give up;I’m glad I didn’t! Good Luck everybody! reply

«windows video play plug-in_v1.20».
Запустите файл «LvfPlus.exe».После установки данного приложения вы можете просматривать .lvf файлы на компьютере
посредством стандартного проигрывателя Windows Media Player. При необходимости установите
сопоставление файла данной программе. reply
