could somebody tell me a software used to cut Divx movies, i would be thankful.
Get VirtualDub. http://www.virtualdub.org
Important: Be SURE to select Video, Direct Stream Copy, or else it will save the portions uncompressed. The most important buttons other than that are 1. edit, set selection start and 2. edit, set selection end (you have to move the thing on the timeline at the bottom to select your start and endpoints first). You could also use 3. edit, clear selection. When you’re done, click file, save as avi, and pick a new name.
P.S: I assume you meant a DivX movie in an AVI container. If you have ogm or mkv, use virtualdubmod instead.
thanks alot, i’ll try it ....although i remember that i once had that software and couldnt make it save files in reasonable sizes....it was saving in HUGE sizes, so i uninstalled it.
Stick with DVD’s, Their way cheaper than CD-R, Trust me, I’ve converted to DVD just recently and boy can I tell you the quality is 100x better.
>> it was saving in HUGE sizes
That’s because you didn’t pick “Direct Stream Copy” under video. The default is to save uncompressed, which is humongous.
