I actually WANT compression artifacts!

Hello, about a year ago I compressed an AVI using the DivX codec. Unfortunately I cannot remember which version of the codec I used.

When I play back the AVI file using Windows Media Player, and then track to different parts of the movie (using the slider down the bottom), artifacts would remain from the previous scene, and slowly get replaced by the new scene.

I actually want to make another AVI file with the same properties, but alas, I have upgraded my computer and am stuck with DivX 5.1.1.

Does anyone know or have an older version of DivX that leaves these artifacts behind?
