Acutally, the million dollar question is, will a 30 minute avi to dvd fit on a DVR - or +?
I created a 30 minute .wmv using Microsoft Movie maker (which totally sucks!), then had to use Vegas Video to fix the M.M.M. problems I encountered.
When Vegas was done (12 hours later), the file is now about 9GB. I was wondering if this file (when converted to dvd) will fit on a DVR.
anyone? -->thanks
PS: If I sound like a newbie, I am! Any advice or pointers to sites with adivce is highly welcomed.
Kind regards
Thanks for the 'NO' response, but I tried it myself and it only took 45 minutes.
When I converted a 30 minute .wmv to .avi took 11 hours 26 minutes.
Hi gcadmes I know this post is from 2006 but I am trying to convert an avi... 20 min movie clip to a dvd... takes almost 3 hours... problem is i have 12 of those...
Please help, i have no idea what i am doing!!!
I personally use ConvertXtoDVD to convert .avi and other formats to DVD (.vob,.ifo, .bup) files.
Works well and you set the size. It comes out to a 4.35 Gb sized folder for you and ready to burn.

It works quite well, but it’s not free, but it’s worth the money.
