Help with video file

sup fellas. I recently got Star Wars Episode 3 on Ares but I can’t view it and its a x-msvideo type file. People on there said you have to get a special codec but I cannot find it. I downloaded the divx player from the website, and the latest nimo codec pack, and I still can’t view it. I’m gonna try VLC player, but I doubt it will work. Please help me
