A file I’ve downloaded has a FourCC of

ã-g?-6ˆºq

Anyone know what codec this is? The file extension is ".avi”, but this is not particularly helpful.

I’ve got wmp 10, div 5.2, winamp 5.05, Real Player 10.5 and Media Player Classic 6.4.8.2

Nothing plays this file.

I’ve tried gspot 2.21, AVI Medic 5.3a, and AVIMaster.

With the latter, I get:

*** Error: Chunk size greater File size, File may be truncated!
*** Error: Wrong Size (1022906475) exceeding File Size detected, corrected!
'3├┌ú' (412569592)
*** Error: Unexpected Token!
*** Fatal: This file is not a valid RIFF file - the 'RIFF'/'FORM' Token is missing!

Any help you could give would be appreciated.

pretty much says it’s not an avi, or that if it was an avi it’s corrupted well beyond recovery.
