Error playing file in windows media player

Hey folks, I just dl. seinfeld season 9, from bit torrent, and when I try to play an episode, windows media players gives me an error. What should I do? I need help. Thanks for the advise.

Hey its probably either divx or xvid codec so seach for those 2, if it plays but just shows the ambient graphics then its your audio codec

The problem i have is no video, but i have audio. not sure if this was a torrent b/c i ripped it off a friend’s pc. reason is codec used to compress isn’t formatted for windows media player. what audio codec do i need?

Ops I think your problem is the type of the file when I have a video and not running on the windows movie maker the problem in my is the file type. You only need to convert the file into a MPG to run in the movie maker or you need to install correctly the windows movie maker.
