Error (-2048) grrr so frustrating!

Ok I got an Ipod, i want to get a movie on to it, i converted a Avi. file to a Mp4 with videora and the file says Couldn’t open file ___ because it is not a file that Quicktime understands... (-2048) ahhhhh ive tried everything. i have itunes the newest version, an ipod 80gig classic. and windows Vista, im getting so mad! arhh help me!
