I had the same problems and downloaded from the link dated 15th March by Infamous. I ran the set-up and now Media PLayer plays the D-Snap files. SHite quality though, don’t think it was all worth it!!

You need to install the CD Drivers/Apps that came with the Panasonic D-Snap Video Camera. Then, you can view the film clips recorded with D-Snap to Windows Media Player.

Would anyone know how I could run my .asf video files taken from a panasonic av-50 snap camera?

It’s looking for this codec which is quite difficult to find: C00D10D1 a.k.a. “em4a”.

it’s getting frustrating already.

Hello from sunny down under in Australia and it’s a stinking hot 42c here today and I hot under the collar cause I have the same problem with my new Panasonic 42” Plasma that can play and record MPEG4 video onto SD via a card slot on the front of the set. Cool hay! I can record TV broadcasts onto an SD and play them back on the TV but not on my computer.
You can all come around to my place when ever you want to play your movies. We’ll have a party...

Hey! After getting more and more frustrated with this decoder, I finally got it after following all the instructions found in links on this forum. What might be helpful to you; I downloaded all the stuff, I opened temporarily folder, saw the setup, and opened it to run there. Try it that way, and hopefully it will work! Succesw you all, I know how dreadful this is for you, just spent half a day on it myself!

Hello from Japan. If you only want to watch asf file by extra fine mode on your pc, you can download this media player(called tcpmp) here. http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/0.71/
You must choose Win32 Player + Plugins, and install it. it works.

Hi All,

I’ve also got a 42” plasma tv that records onto SD card. However, when played back on the TV it is a kinda small picture (about half the available screen area).
Do I have to set the picture aspect to a particular size/ratio to enable a full screen playback??
