DVDScr.TS XviD-P2P.avi

I downloaded my first movie using a torrent. The name of the file goes - xxx DVDScr.TS XviD-P2P.avi

However, when I try to open this file using vlc or windows media player, a 4s screen shows up which says - “Use windows media player”.

I tried installing everything on the face of the earth to get it to work - K-lite Codec pack, Xvid, DivX etc., but in vain.

Is there something I am doing wrong. The file size does read 681MB which is the normal size of a movie file. I did remove it from my torrents folder to my movies folder before I played it.

Please help!!!!
