Hello this is my debut on this forum. I need help. Please.

I have downloaded a .ISO file and burned it to DVD. It doesn’t work here in London. I understand I need to convert it to a PAL version to play it on my DVD player.

It had been suggested I buy software called Nero and Win AVI but I’m new to this technology and would be very grateful if somebody could talk to me on this with confidence.

Please show off your knowledge and help me.

Also does this forum email me if somebody out there actually replies? My address is studio@lukewhitaker.com

Thanks,

Luke

Thank you for the reply.

Have you tried this software yourself? And does it actually convert the .iso files to PAL?

Thanks for your time,

Luke

If you already have Nero Vision, try the conversion in there.
I don’t know if Nero will read the contents of the ISO or whether you’ll need to extract it first. If you need to extract it, use 7-zip or winrar. Right-click, and pick extract to <folder name>.

I suggest that you use a virtual CD/DVD drive to mount the .iso to. Such as Slysoft Virtual CloneDrive (slysoft.com), of Daemontools (daemon-tools.cc).

Thank you all for your responses.
In order to convert a NTSC .iso file into PAL, is the answer to download 7-zip to extract the file, and then buy WinAVI software in order to burn the extracted file onto DVD in PAL format?

I just wondered if anybody was using 7-zip and WinAVI and had actually performed this conversion?

I’d just like to know it can be done before downloading and buying software?

Many thanks for your time if you can help me.

Regards,

Luke
