Torrent file is just a directory to your tracker where the uploader put the file for downloading. This file for reason of downloading time is coming in a compressed format as a rar zipped or aced or tared or whatever archive name the most popular is Rar.After downloading you have to collect all the rar’s and decompress them with WinRar and the extraction is going to give you an avi (for Xvid) a pair of cue/bin (for vcd/svcd) an iso (for games)or a video ts folder (for dvd’s).To play these files without burning you need a collection of codecs better a pack like All in One or K-lite or Ace, DivX and Xvid(included in any pack) and some players not the pain from Microcheap WMP, I’m talking about VLC and BSplayer. For image files like iso or bin to open the files you need Daemon Tools or any Virtual Drive software and for DVD you need a burner and dvd-r’s.When your file is a Xvid (my choice) smaller size and better quality than a vcd you can play it on PC and in order to make a dvd you need a video converter from Xvid to DVD.All this in details you can find it here and for the rest use Google: http://www.afterdawn.com/index-menu.cfm For codecs and players go here:http://www.free-codecs.com/ and for torrent sites go here:http://www.bittorrenttopsites.com/top-bit-torrent-sites.php
