I am trying to make a movie of my brothers wedding, I recorded some of it on my digital camera and transfered it to my computer, but everytime I try to move the movie over to movie maker it says cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again. Can anyone tell me where to get the codec I need and the name of it that way I install the right one. Thanks a bunch..

If it is a .mov file, that file type is not compatible with WMM. You will have to get a converter to change it to a file type that is compatible with WMM.
