Captured Video is in wrong speed

I am using an older Sony digital video camera and I am trying to download my video to my PC.

I am using Microsoft Movie Maker and used the “capture” feature, however, when I try to play the captured video back it is in the wrong speed....it is is playing back at a faster rate than the actual recorded video so it makes everything look in fast forward mode.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what I might be doing wrong?
