Hello. My name is Lindsey and I am having trouble with a few videos I am trying to play. I am trying to play a video that has a .mpg file extension and in its properties, it says the file type is a Movie File (mpeg). However, I have downloaded an entire video codec bundle, restarted the computer, and it still WILL NOT play. Do I need a specific codec that I just don’t have? Help, please.

Yes, you need some codecs for an avi file but first find out what type of avi you have.Download Avicodec and GSpot and open the file with one of them.If you download Xvid players like VLC BSplayer or Xvid player be sure you have DivX install too. Some of them are included in a codecs pack a lite one is All in One ar K-Lite. A mega pack like Ace is full of stuff that you may not need so just pick one pack and install it.http://www.free-codecs.com/
