I downloaded a torrent and today it has finished and I tried to watch it in my pc. The file extension is avi and I tried Quicktime, Windows Media Player and DivX but nothing worked.I also tried changing the file extension to wmv, mpg, mov but no luck. What should I do?

Well I downloaded that Nimo pack from DIvX so no when I play the movie it opens a DivXG4000 and the movie does play, but on the screen there are a lot of green blotches and the images kind of sink into each other.
Any help about that pleasehuh

I tried gspot to scan a file that i downloaded with torrents. It said it wasnt an avi file, even though the file is named with .avi extension. Is their any program you can use to scan any type of media file to tell me what it is?

Only change the file extension perhaps won’t do, You need convert video codec, I recommend Aneesoft, it is completely free.
