Maybe I’m missing a CODEC in Windows Media Player? I have no idea where to begin finding the solution as to why Windows Media Player will play video but not play the audio from AVI files.

I’m using a Labtec Webcam Pro camera and it records only in the .AVI format.

Why can’t I hear sound when the movie is played?
What do I do now to make it work properly? reply

Ah you can’t have visualisations AND Lyrics Plugin acvite at the same time. In Media Player go TOOLS Plug-Ins and make sure that Lyrics Plugin is ticked if it’s not, tick it and that should solve the problem reply

It seems that there is no correct audio codec to afford your AVI videos on your computer. Besides, it is difficult for you to find the right codec. You can have a try to get a third party program, like Brorsoft Video Converter to transcode your AVI videos to MP4. reply
