.avi codec problems

I have several .avi files that I can’t get to play. I have used gspot to find and downloaded the codec, but the files will simply not play. Gspot read that I now have the proper codec, but will not play or render the files.

I don’t know what to do, and I have not been able to figure out any of these file converters.

Please help me, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

try useing nero6.6.0.6 this will convert all your avi files then it will automaticaly burn to dvd to play in your dvd player
