I have problem with watching movies because I’m lack of AVC codec. I esepcially have problem with .xbus and .mkv movie files.
Before evrythng was ok, but after reinstallation of All Player also AVC codec dissapeard. All Player can not download it (I don’t know why). I tried to find it by myself but I found only some AVC codec packs hich require payment.
Do you know where I can download free version of this codec for free? Or some alternative codec which can do the same job?

Thanx in advance for your help!

AVC would be advanced video coding, an acronym for H.264
If you don’t mind using something other than Windows Media Player, try VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org)
You can also try DivX 7 http://www.divx.com
If you must absolutely use Windows Media Player, then get ffdshow-tryouts and Haali Media Splitter.

Thanks for help. I’ve already installed XP Codec Pack. Now I can open .mkv files in my favorite “All Player” (I like this one becasue I can open subtitles using this application). Unfortunatelly .xbus movie files still can’t be opened using All Player. Only Divx Player can open .xbus files now (I don’t know why, before I opened it on All Player without any problems). But I can’t open sutbtitles on Divcx Player and I really need to do it (I like watching korean, japanese or italian movies, and usually there is no dubbing...).
Do you know what kind of codec should I install to open .xbus movies?
