Where can I find the codec PIM2?
I am having real problems with playing some svhs movies, captured with pinnacle things. I need that codec to play them. Ace mega 6.03 didn’t work. Any other suggestions/links please?

you can use utility called “gspot”, that will always tell you what codec you might be missing..

I will write an email to www.hotcodecs.com to add some utilities to their list

VP6, VP7, VP62

They do have a free download, its just not that easy to find. Go to - http://www.on2.com then on the main page menu choose: PRODUCTS, then choose: TRUECAST MEDIA PLAYBACK/STREAMING, then choose either: FREE VP6 DECODER FOR WINDOWS or FREE TRUECAST PLAYER DOWNLOAD.
Search results: ON2, VP6, VP7, VP62, video codec

I read all the posts on this thread and I had all these problems plus more, like codec packs will not load properly, causing exceptions in the media players, movie picture jitters, poor sound and more.

The cure: Go to HTTP://www.free-codecs.com,
download K-Lite Codec Pack 2.41 full, install this application, check what you need and your movie problems are over, providing your computer is working properly.

Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8NS Pro 64 bit 2 gig.
Media Players: WinAmp, Nero, Windows Media Player.

Cheers

HI JOSH,
this is for you... dont know much bout codec’s but i do know, your media players use them to play the video. My real suggestion is to “free movies”... Best way is with peer to peer connection... In English.... download either Edonkey / bearshare / emule etc (this is free) then, you decide what items on your pc you will share ie, your music etc. you can then (for free) download all kinds of things from other peoples pc’s who are also sharing their fun stuff. I am totally addicted, and have found edonkey to work best for me.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU SOME
HAVE FUN !!
