how big is the bin file? If it’s several hundred MB and came with a .cue file, then it’s a cd image, and you’d burn it with something like nero. If not then it’s a Mac binary (equivalent of pc .exe) I don’t think conversion tools exist for .bin to .exe, and it’d probably be best to look for a pc version of the game.

Here is a link how to put a bin file to dvd.Use only the isobuster part and extract the file and you can play it on your pc.The easy way is to burn the bin and play it but if you just want to play it this is a solution. If the file plays ok sound and picture you may convert it to dvd and burn it but won’t be better quality. You start with a low resolution file the final is going to be the same just bigger.http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/207083 Mr. Moderator without name was such a big deal to write plain English?

Is VCD Gear at www.vcdgear.com any good? I used it to convert a .bin file to an .avi. All I had to do was load up both the .bin and the .cue that came with it and it did the work.

some websites say that .bin files are the same files as zip or rar, isnt it amazing that there are so many people out there willing to give pointless and untrue advice just so they can feel smart compared to people they don’t even know!

bin files are quite simply bi products on data conversion
eg: anything.anything converted to another format does this:

The conversion tool reads the string of code and finds the equivilent character for the output file format
eg: original file code(anythin.anything) is made up of a sequence of say ones and twos:

1122222112112221112
(obviously the actual code will me massively longer)

the output file may be made up of threes and fours. the converter will then find equivilent characters between the two, so if say 1 in the original file is equal to 3 in the output file type and 2 is equal to four then the output file code will look like this:

3344444334334443334

a bin file is produced when there is no equivilent character in the output file so the converter adds a code that tells the program thats opens the output file type to load the missing data that could not be converted from the bin file. bin files are file EXTENSIONS and cannot be converted to exe files without the missing files, whatever they might be.

Ok heres my issue. I dld KOTOR II in bin and cue format and I used daemon tools to mount and install the game on my comp and
it worked to install but now it won’t recognize the CD1 image as the play disc anymore. I tried downloading a no cd crack and replacing the exe but that didn’t work, along with burning the image using Alcohol 120 to a cd. What will make this work?
