bask Guest | i’ve been having some problems with playing sounds (of any kind) on my pc (the sound just stops randomly, and restarts randomly), and after digging into it (i know almost nothing in codecs), i installed sherlock and found that “WMAPro over S/PDIF DMO” is broken.
my question is: how can i reinstall it? or - can i delete it somehow? will deleting it cause problems?
thanks a lot | |

Ultimateswan Guest | I was having same problem as you. Solution is very easy ! Probably too late for you, but some could need this info.
Reinstall the "Windows Media PlayerCodecs Setup" version 9.
That’s it !
The name of the file to download is WM9Codecs.exe ... Sorry, don’t have any link to that file, but I’m sure that it easy to find ! Do like me, keep it safe on your system !!

Guest2 Guest | Hi, I think my problem may be similar as some of yours.
I got this PC from a friend, and the audio playback is perfect when I’m playing a file locally, but when I go to stream, either on youtube, veoh, even anime' sites, the video plays perfectly, but no sound at all. So I have perfect sound playing locally, but none when streaming. I have downloaded just about every codec pack I have found for audio packs, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. I have quicktime, divx, WMP 11, flash player, etc....still no go. Thanx for any info/help.
