al3x Guest | Hi everyone!Yesterday afternoon suddently when i tried to open a avi file i had picture and sound all ok but it was only in black and white without any colour...it started with colour but some secs later they colours went away. Then i noticed that all video formats are the same (avi, mpg etc...)I tried to unistall some players and v.codecs and i re-installed only divx with its codecs then i tried winamp and zoom player ,wmp but nothing happened.Does anyone know how to solve this problem?I have p4 1,6g with OS WinME and geforce fx 5700 with the 53,06 drivers(i tried to re-install em to solve this but nothing).Thank you | |

richard4444 Guest | Hi
I have the same f...... problem. Have been trying some codecs and players but nothing works. On my laptop everything is fine. Is your resolution in the player screen screwed up as well? Mine is.
If I get any solution. Ill post it here. (if you have any solution, then I’d be grateful if you could mail it to me 2)
Thanx

richard4444 Guest | So, what I did, and it works fine for me now: I uninstalled all codec packs and installed a fresh copy of all-in-one codec pack with the ffd decoding. The problem was still there, but I was able to make the adjustment in the ffd properties (start-all programs-codec pack) in the “avisynth” tab. All boxes are checked, except “avysinth”. Well, this solved the problem. Still don’t know exactly what might have caused it. I advise to turn off any automatic downloads of upgrades of codecs or decoding software.
Hope this works 4 u 2
