I’ve burned many movies with no problems. These movie’s are in .avi format on my computer. Every once in awhile I have a movie that is great quality and works great on my computer but when I go to burn it I get an error message. Any idea why this would happen? (I thought if it played on my computer it would definately burn)

OK - During the burning process (using NeroVision Express or Ulead DVD Movie Factory)I get an error message. The movie is partly burned.
This is part of the error log I got when using NeroVision.

Hmmm...
I’ve never had to convert avi’s before. The programs I use do that during the burn process.
I’ve burned many movies (avi’s) and never had a problem.
Basically I guess what I’m trying to ask is ...
If the movie plays fine as an avi on my computer, what would cause that same movie to have an error while burning?

If U just merely want 2 play on ur pc, then U don’t need 2 burn them(avi) at all in the 1st place..unless U want 2 watch them on ur home standalone dvd player. Some dvd player r equipped with so called divX/Xvid decoder where U can play avi files s burned data cd. What I am thinking now is so called mpeg 4mat also known s vcd that U R burning. But anyway her r some tips 4 U.
1. 2 convert avi 2 dvd use winavi video converter.
2. 2 convert BIN/CUE file use vcdgear.(Bin is an image file ready 2 b burn on normal cdr by using only the CUE)
3. 2 convert avi 2 mpeg use tmpgenc or nero build file encoder.
