2 cd's causing problems

I downloaded a game that has 2 cd’s. After I installed I tried running it; when I have cd1 in it goes into the initial menu which has Play, Support, Uninstall etc. when I click play it asks me to insert cd2, then when I enter cd2 it opens a new window that tells me I need to insert the correct cd-rom.
What to do?

i used to have this problem alot before I reformatted my computer - I solved it by re-installing the cdrom programme, its obviously got conflicts in it
