Yo Marcs,

I have exactly the sam problem and I am getting quite frustrated, because none of the programmes I have tried, actually does what it sais.

If you have found anything, please let me know, and if I do, I will let you know.

You know what they say, two is always better that one.

Good luck!

a program called all-to-avi can be used to copy to and from many formats. but conversion from mpeg to dvd or vob is poor. let me know what helps you.

A few programs were suggested to me:
Chopper XP
Xilisoft DVD Ripper

^ Those are suppose to convert and rip, but I couldn’t get either to work. For ripping only, I use DVD Shrink.

I also need to convert .vob to .mpg, but I also can’t find anything that works. I would be ok with just ripping to .mpg format.

If all you want to do is edit the VOB files you do not have to convert them.
MPG-VCR by Womble (KEY: WIN32-MPEG2-45601bf8a583) will do it... http://www.womble.com/
Or, just rename the .vob to .mpg and use AVI/MPEG/ASF/WMV Splitter by Boilsoft (KEY: SV707-74XAFQ-11300)
http://www.boilsoft.com/
Check them out.

After using DVD DeCrypter, I never had any problems renaming the *.vob files to *.mpg files.

Use Ulead Media Studio to convert (and EDIT) the renamed files.

If all else fails, use DVDchopper! Get it here...

dont rename VOB to MPG do it properly, you may get unpredictable results with some VOB’s
